Art R us Artist Discovery Award
No purchase necessary. A purchase, payment, donation, or sale will not increase an artist’s chances of being selected.
The Art R us Artist Discovery Award is a skill-based juried art award sponsored by Art R us, LLC, Naples, Florida.
By submitting to the Art R us Artist Discovery Award, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Art R us, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the award.

2. Nature of Award
The Art R us Artist Discovery Award is a skill-based juried art award.
This award is not a sweepstakes, raffle, lottery, random drawing, or game of chance.
The winner is selected based on artistic merit, originality, technical execution, visual impact, collector relevance, artist statement, and professional presentation.
Public voting, if used, may be used only for separate recognition such as People’s Choice Featured Artist and does not determine the $5,000 cash award winner.
3. Eligibility
The award is open to artists who are at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.
Artists may submit from the United States and internationally, unless prohibited by applicable law.
Employees, contractors, officers, owners, judges, immediate family members, and household members of Art R us, LLC may be ineligible to receive the cash award.
Art R us reserves the right to verify eligibility before awarding any prize.
Void where prohibited by law.
4. Award Period
The Art R us Artist Discovery Award may be conducted in monthly rounds.

Art R us reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or cancel any award round at its discretion, subject to applicable law.
5. How to Enter
To enter, artists must complete the official Art R us Artist Discovery Award submission form and provide all required information.

Permission for Art R us to display submitted materials for award-related promotion.
Incomplete, false, misleading, offensive, infringing, or noncompliant submissions may be disqualified.
6. Entry Limit
Each artist may submit up to (1) one artworks per monthly award round, unless otherwise stated on the submission form.
Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, or mass-generated submissions may be disqualified.
Art R us reserves the right to limit, remove, or reject submissions that appear abusive, spam-like, artificial, stolen, or inconsistent with the purpose of the award.
7. Artwork Requirements
Submitted artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.
By submitting, the artist represents and warrants that:
The submitted artwork is original.
The artist owns or controls all rights necessary to submit the artwork.
The artwork does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, moral rights, or other rights of any third party.
The artwork does not contain unlawful, hateful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or intentionally misleading content.
The submission does not violate any applicable law or platform policy.
Art R us reserves the right to request additional proof of authorship, ownership, or permission.
8. Judging Criteria
Eligible submissions will be judged according to the following criteria:
Originality — 25%
Creativity, concept, authorship, and artistic voice.
Technical Execution — 25%
Craftsmanship, skill, material control, finish, and professional quality.
Visual Impact — 20%
Composition, presence, emotional impact, and ability to command attention.
Collector Relevance — 15%
Market positioning, presentation, scale, collectability, and long-term visual significance.
Artist Statement and Professional Presentation — 15%
Clarity of vision, biography, statement, and overall submission quality.
The highest-ranked submission, as determined by Art R us through juried review, may be selected as the monthly award winner.
Art R us reserves the right not to award a prize if, in its judgment, no submission meets the required standard.
9. Judging Panel and Final Decision
Submissions will be reviewed by Art R us, with final review by Matthew Snider, Founder of Art R us, together with selected Art R us curatorial reviewers and/or guest reviewers.
All judging decisions are final and binding.
Art R us may consider artistic merit, gallery relevance, originality, professional presentation, submission quality, and overall fit with the award’s purpose.
10. People’s Choice Recognition
Art R us may offer a separate People’s Choice Featured Artist recognition.
People’s Choice may be determined by public voting, social engagement, online voting, or another public-facing method announced by Art R us.
People’s Choice recognition is separate from the $5,000 cash award.
Public voting does not determine the $5,000 monthly award winner.
Art R us reserves the right to remove fraudulent, automated, purchased, duplicate, manipulated, or suspicious votes or engagement.
11. Prize
Each monthly award winner may receive:
$5,000 cash award

Social media feature through @art_r_us_florida
Collector-facing visibility through Art R us
Press announcement support
Consideration for future Art R us exhibition, feature, or gallery opportunity
Approximate retail value of the cash award: $5,000 USD per monthly round.
Prize is non-transferable.
No substitution of prize is permitted except at the discretion of Art R us.
Art R us is not responsible for any expenses not expressly stated as part of the prize.
12. Winner Notification
Potential winners will be notified by email, phone, or direct communication using the contact information provided in the submission.
A potential winner may be required to complete and return documentation, which may include:
Affidavit or declaration of eligibility
Liability release
Publicity release
Tax documentation
Payment information
Verification of identity
Verification of artwork ownership/authorship
If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, is found ineligible, refuses the prize, fails to complete required documentation, or violates these Official Rules, Art R us may disqualify that potential winner and select an alternate winner.
13. Taxes
The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, local, and international taxes, fees, reporting obligations, and other expenses associated with accepting the prize.
Art R us may require appropriate tax documentation before issuing payment.
For U.S. winners, Art R us may issue an IRS Form 1099 or other tax documentation where required by law.
14. Public Display and Submission Wall
Approved submissions may be featured on the official Art R us Artist Discovery Award Submission Wall or other Art R us promotional channels.

Artwork title
Artwork image
Medium
Artist statement excerpt
Website or social media handle
Finalist or submission status
Not all submissions will be displayed publicly.
Art R us reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, crop, resize, remove, or withhold any submission from public display at its discretion.
15. Intellectual Property
Artists retain ownership of their submitted artwork and intellectual property.
Submission does not transfer ownership of the artwork or copyright to Art R us.
By submitting, each artist grants Art R us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, publish, crop, resize, distribute, and promote the submitted artwork images, artist name, biography, artist statement, social media handle, and related submission materials for purposes connected to the Art R us Artist Discovery
Award.

This license is granted only for award-related, promotional, editorial, archival, and marketing purposes connected to Art R us and the Art R us Artist Discovery Award.
16. Artist Representations and Warranties
By submitting, each artist represents and warrants that:
They are the original creator of the submitted artwork or have full legal authority to submit it.
The submission does not infringe any third-party rights.
The submission does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights.
The submission does not contain false or misleading information.
The submission does not contain unlawful or prohibited content.
The artist has the right to grant Art R us the promotional license described in these Official Rules.
Each artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Art R us, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, judges, reviewers, partners, affiliates, and representatives from any claims arising from the artist’s submission or breach of these Official Rules.
17. Publicity Release
Except where prohibited by law, submission to the award constitutes permission for Art R us to use the entrant’s name, artist name, likeness, submitted artwork images, biography, artist statement, city/state/country, website, social media handle, and related materials for award-related advertising, publicity, promotional, editorial, archival, and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Art R us to announce and promote the winner’s name, artist name, artwork, likeness, submitted materials, and prize status.
18. Disqualification
Art R us reserves the right to disqualify any artist or submission that:
Violates these Official Rules:
Provides false or misleading information
Submits stolen, copied, infringing, or unauthorized work
Uses bots, automation, vote manipulation, or fraudulent activity
Attempts to interfere with the award process
Engages in harassment, threats, abuse, or misconduct
Submits offensive, hateful, obscene, unlawful, or defamatory content
Damages or harms the reputation, operations, or integrity of Art R us or the award
Art R us reserves the right to remove any submission from public display at any time.
19. General Conditions
Art R us reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the award if fraud, technical failure, legal issue, platform restriction, force majeure event, unauthorized intervention, or any other factor impairs the integrity or operation of the award.
Art R us reserves the right to correct clerical, typographical, technical, or administrative errors.
Art R us reserves the right to interpret these Official Rules and make final decisions concerning eligibility, judging, winner selection, public display, and all award-related matters.
20. Release of Liability
By entering, each artist releases and holds harmless Art R us, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, judges, reviewers, affiliates, partners, representatives, social media platforms, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, injuries, or expenses arising from participation in the award, submission of artwork, public display of submitted materials, acceptance or use of any prize, or any award-related activity.
21. Instagram, Facebook, and Social Media Disclaimer
This award may be promoted on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media platforms.
This award is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, or any other social media platform.
By participating, entrants release Instagram, Facebook, Meta, and other social media platforms from any responsibility or liability related to the award.
Entrants must not inaccurately tag content or encourage others to inaccurately tag content.
Official award updates will be posted through Art R us and @art_r_us_florida.
22. Privacy
Information submitted by artists may be used by Art R us for purposes of administering the award, reviewing submissions, contacting entrants, announcing finalists and winners, displaying approved submissions, promoting the award, and communicating with artists.
Art R us may use submitted contact information to send award-related communications.
Personal information will not be sold by Art R us as part of the award.
23. Governing Law
These Official Rules and the Art R us Artist Discovery Award are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising from or relating to the award shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
24. Winner List
Winner information may be posted on artrus.com and/or announced through Art R us social media, email, press, or public-facing award pages.
