Silkscreen, mixed media, and the painted frame
The listing identifies three parts of the object: the silkscreen image, mixed media on a canvas panel, and a splashed frame. Looking closely at how the image meets the surrounding marks is more informative than treating the work as a flat reproduction. The frame is part of that encounter, extending the painted surface beyond the panel.
Because the support is a canvas panel, ask for photographs of the edges, back, and frame as well as a straight-on image. These views help document the object’s construction and distinguish surface texture from reflections in a photograph.
Scale and documentation
The listed dimensions, 36.25 by 28.75 inches, give the work a vertical format suited to viewing both across a room and at close range. Confirm whether those measurements include the frame before planning a wall position or comparing it with nearby works.
The signature is recorded on the back. Request a clear signature photograph, condition information, and the available authorship documentation. The word “Original” in the title should not replace confirmation of the work’s production and edition details.
