Shahram “Aliz” Alizadeh is an Iranian-born, Austria-based contemporary surrealist whose paintings combine symbolic imagery, expressive color, humor, struggle, and dreamlike escape. Born in Tehran and self-taught as a painter, Alizadeh developed a distinctive visual world shaped by personal experience, emotional transformation, fantasy, and the tensions between reality and imagination.

His compositions introduce surreal characters and psychologically charged environments that explore vulnerability, resilience, memory, and the human need for release. Rather than explaining every symbol, Alizadeh leaves space for viewers to form their own connections with each scene. His creative practice also includes cover art and visual design, including work for Dan Rosenberg’s The Crushing Organ and CD projects for musicians.

Represented by Art R us since 2024, Alizadeh has works in private collections internationally. Collectors value the narrative depth, individual voice, and unexpected wit that distinguish his story-driven paintings.
